August was another busy month for KitAid and here are the latest totals and news.
Total items of kit donated in July – 9, 205
Total items of kit donated so far in 2026 – 88,374
Total items of kit donated since 1998 – 1,320,401
Hatfield Boxing Up – Saturday 3 October
Thanks to those who have let me know whether you can/cannot attend the session. Unfortunately we have very few attendees so far and really need at least six more helpers to go ahead with the session. If you haven’t replied yet or would like to come along for the first time please let me know.
The more attendees the better as it makes the morning run smoothly and also means that we get away sooner.
26 for 26 Challenge
In 2025 the total KitAid expenditure was £14,688.
Thanks to a couple of great initiatives our Income was £26,878. However, these were “one off” opportunities which we cannot bank on in 2026/27.
In the last monthly update we launched the new 26 for 26 fundraising initiative, which was so successful in our 25th Anniversary year. If you are able to sign up to complete your own challenge please let Ben know.
Ricky Road Run 2026 – 10 miles – Sunday 18th October
Calling all or any runners who can run 10 miles and who can run as part of Team KitAid. As we receive a substantial donation towards our running costs from this event it would be great if we could enter some runners. As a charity runner you can also receive a £5 discount on the entry fee.

Good Luck to Amanda
On 5 September, Amanda, the Regional Coordinator for the High Wycombe area, will represent England in a walking football tournament.
In KitAid’s 28-year history, I am not aware of any other RC/volunteer representing their country. I guess we could include Graham Taylor as England manager and former Patron but in that capacity, he was in an honorary role.

A Future Diary Date
On 28 November KitAid will be the joint match sponsor for the Step 4 Southern League match: Leverstock Green v Hertford Town. Our good friends Family FC are the other sponsor.
Please block out this date in your diaries as it would be great to get a team of KitAid supporters along as we have done previously. It includes tea in the boardroom and we get to choose the Man of the Match and present them with an award. You also get to see some great football at a really friendly club.

In August we received three lovely responses following kit donations which highlight the value of everyone’s work in supporting KitAid.
